Service Description

This course is designed to instruct police personnel on procedures used for tactical mission planning and briefing of involved law enforcement personnel. Topics include the use of threat matrix, scouting procedures, mission planning documentation, operational planning for high-risk search warrants and briefing procedures. Primary, alternate, contingency, emergency planning, suggestions on how to modify high risk search warrant planning to other types of tactical missions, and much more will also be discussed. The primary goal of this course is to expose attendees to the intricacies of high risk search warrant documentation, planning, and briefing to allow for mission success. This is NOT a tactics or scouting course. Various tactical and scouting options will be discussed to demonstrate the flexibility of the briefing process. Upon completion of this course the attendee will be familiar with: 1.Mission Planning Documentation 2.High Risk Warrant Service Planning and Briefing 3.Barricaded Subject Operations Planning and Briefing 4. Scouting Procedures and Additional Resource Utilization 5. Primary, Alternate, Contingency and Emergency Planning 6. Examples of Mission Briefings 7. Group “Mock” Warrant Planning and Briefing Presentation Instructor: Richard Moore is a law enforcement professional with over a decade of dedicated service to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. Richard quickly distinguished himself and was integral to the Travis County Correctional Tactical Team in 2013. Following his foundational years, Richard advanced through the ranks, transferring to the Law Enforcement Bureau as a Deputy in 2016. His commitment to professional development is evident in his participation in specialized training programs, including Travis County SWAT School 2017, Travis County Special Response Team (SRT) in 2017, and the Travis County SWAT Augment Team 2018. Richard’s expertise extends beyond his operational roles. He is certified in all chemical munitions, less-lethal impact weapons, and distraction devices. His instructor certifications encompass Building Clearing (Push, Pin & Hold), ALERRT Active Shooter Levels 1 & 2, ALERRT Exterior Response to Active Shooter Events (ERASE), Tac Flow ballistic shield, and Firearms. He is also a Simunition Scenario & Safety Instructor and is trained in Tactical Surveillance Techniques and High-Risk Event Planning for narcotic operations and vehicle operations. Richard holds certifications for Glock and FN303 armor.
